Shimla police busted a sex racket in Shimla arresting 4 persons hailing from Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and Rajasthan involved in pushing three girls into prostitution, revealed Shimla district police.
Three girls rescued during a raid from a private hotel near Cart Road Shimla are in early twenties, hail from Punjab and West Bengal, police added.
The Shimla police said the four people involved in the prostitution racket have forced these girls into prostitution and have been arrested under the Immortal Traffic Prevention Act and 370 of the IPC law and the probe was being initiated to reach the depth of this entire illegal flesh trade business.
Shimla is a famous tourist destination with tourists visiting this colonial heritage city in lakhs yearly. Many of the hotels in the city resort to flesh trading, alluring tourists by charging high tarrif to make fast money by illicit means.
Here, the police, the politicians and sex traffickers make an unshakeable axis, promoting the thriving of this illegal trade, one of oldest in the world.
