Himachal Pradesh Police Recruitment Exams Cancelled, Fresh Date to Be Announced Soon


Shimla, May 6

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today announced that his government has decided to cancel the HP police recruitment exams held on March 27 assuming that the competition paper got leaked before the day of examination.

The Chief Minister Thakur also revealed that the government has set up a special investigation team (SIT) to probe the matter thoroughly.

Over 75000 aspirants had appeared in the written test held on March 27 for the selection of about 1700 constables in the state police force. Few days after the exams some of the aspirants had launched complaints about the leakage of the paper and the state government ordered a probe into the matter fearing public resentment in the election year.
