Shimla, June 26
One officer of Bihar civil services died of an accidental fall during trekking at Jakha village of Rohru tehsil in Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh, informed a reliable source in Himachal Pradesh police.
The deceased officer has been identified as Jitendra Kumar saha who was working as a joint secretary in the Bihar state government.
The Bihar cadre officer slipped suddenly on the inhospitable route losing his body balance and rolled downhill into a gorge. He received head injuries and died on the spot, said the source.
His body was retrieved by the local administration and was being sent to Patna.
The officer was on his trekking trip with a team of 5 people largely from his Bihar state government department.
