Shimla – (Feb.11) – Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (HPSDMA) supporting the advisory of the Manali-based Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment (SASE) have warned the locals and the tourists across the state especially places of higher elevations in Kinnaur, Lahaul-Spiti, Chamba , Kullu and Shimla districts to avoid avalanches expected to occurred after the heavy snowfall.
With the sky remaining partly cloudy today in Himachal Pradesh, the Met Office has forecast rain or snowfall after 13th of February with the reaching of the fresh Western Disturbance (WD).
“Himachal Pradesh can experience yet another rainfall or snowfall after the coming of the fresh Western Disturbance (WD) on February 13,” Shimla Met Office said.
Shimla recorded the minimum temperature at 4.1, while it was minus 4.2 degree Celsius Kalpa in Kinnaur.
Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti district was the coldest place in the state with a low of -10.8 degree Celsius.
